Song premiere: Justin Bernasconi ‘Winter Pick’

Justin Bernasconi

Justin Bernasconi, best known as a key member of The Stillsons, releases his masterful new solo album Winter Pick today. Produced by Jeff Lang, the album brings together exquisite musicianship and songwriting across the roots spectrum from blues, to folk, to bluegrass, and also includes performances from Lang, Pete Fidler, Hat Fitz and many more.

Drawing on inspiration from the likes of Mississippi John Hurt, John Fahey, Leo Kotke and Bert Jansch, it’s the perfect soundtrack for this time of year, so those in Melbourne can catch him and Basement Discs from 12:45 today, May 2, or see further tour dates below.

Have a listen to this tune from an album the critics are already raving about.
