In 2015, These Machines Cut Razor Wire marks its fifth year with an uplifting and inspiring night of music to raise much-needed funds for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre. So, if you’re sick of the mistreatment of refugees and love live music in support of a great cause, then Ding Dong Lounge is where you need to be on Sunday April 26.
This year’s lineup includes the mighty Jeff Lang Band, Kavisha Mazzella, Les Thomas Band and Little Foot, with all proceeds from ticket sales, go to the ASRC, Australia’s leading refugee rights organisation.
Event organiser Les Thomas says, “We hope all music lovers who want to show support for asylum seekers can make it to this show. As always, the music will be outstanding, and it’s always a pleasure to share these events with people who are committed to ending the age of cruelty against refugees.”
Cajun/Creole cuisine will be available from the Girl with the Gris Gris restaurant, who will be opening their doors especially for the fundraiser from 6pm, serving its tantalising traditional southern dishes. Table reservations are not essential but are highly recommended as the restaurant will book up quickly.
